Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disbursed YSR EBC Nestham funds directly into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries today. The scheme extends *financial assistance of ₹15,000 to poor women aged between 45 and 60.* Eligible beneficiaries should have an annual income of not more than ₹10,000 per month in rural areas and ₹12,000 in urban areas. *Overall, the chief minister credited ₹658.6 crore into the bank accounts of nearly 4.39 lakh women belonging to communities including Reddys, Kammas, Arya Vaishyas, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Velamas, and other communities.* CM Jagan visited Markapur in the Prakasam district and disbursed the funds.

Talking about the scheme, CM Jagan shared, “I always wanted to uplift the poor. *My government will always be pro-women. Our mothers and sisters should always be supported.* That is our aim. This is the only government in the country to distribute EBC Nestham and there is no caste and religion for the poor.”

He further added, *”The Government has so far released Rs 1257.04 crore under the YSR EBC Nestham crediting Rs 30,000 in two tranches.* So far, 30 lakh house sites have been distributed to women across the State and 20 lakh houses are under construction. The Government has also cleared DWCRA bank loans to the tune of Rs 19,178 crores out of a total of Rs 25,570 crore kept pending by the TDP rule.”

Showering praise on CM Jagan for the initiative, Information & Broadcasting Minister Chelluboyina Venugopalakrishna said, “You have been a blessing to all women because of your devotion to uplift them in the state. Your efforts to eradicate poverty is yielding fruits as now ₹15,000 is being deposited in the accounts of poor women. Thank you for being a role model for the rest of the country.”

Kasula Venkata Aruna, who is one of the beneficiaries from Markapur, too thanked CM Jagan for his efforts to uplift the poor. “Today, with this ₹15,000, I will add my savings and soon set up a grocery shop. I wish to share that due to your welfare schemes, schools have improved, my two children are getting nutritious food and are studying in tabs. Because of your housing scheme, our dream of owning a house has become a reality. Thank you for all this Anna and thank you for setting up a medical college in our area,” she shared.

The Chief Minister also trained his guns on opposition leader and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu for his selfie challenge. *”Shame on you for using fake photos in the selfie challenge. I urge the public to ask Naidu, what he did for you? How dare he come and put stickers in front of the houses of poor people? Do you know what’s a good selfie? When the YSRCP cadre goes to each household and the people bless us by saying thank you for all the work we did…that’s called a good selfie!”*!exclaimed CM Jagan eliciting thunderous applause from the crowd.
