Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the logo for the Global Investors’ Summit in his camp office today. Addressing the media, Minister for Industries and Commerce and Information Technology Gudivada Amarnath announced that the summit will be held in Visakhapatnam on March 3 & 4 in 2023.

Speaking on the occasion, Amarnath said,”Visakhapatnam and Kakinada Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) corridors are the biggest corridors in the country and we are focused on developing it further. Multiple ports and fishing harbours in the state would be completed soon. CM Jagan has set a deadline of December 2023 for completing the work on Ramayapatnam port. Also Bhavanapadu & Bhandar port works have been fast-tracked. The state government is working dedicatedly to bring in more industries and companies into the state.”

He affirmed that the state government is focussed on giving thrust to major sectors like agri-food processing, marine projects, defence, EVs etc.

 

“The state is comprehensively focussing on reviving all sectors post the Covid pandemic. Over ₹1,25,000 crore worth MoUs in investments have been signed at the World Economic Forum conference in Davos earlier this year,” the minister stated.

 

Amarnath also explained that the state government is exploring every possible way to utilise its resources to attract more investments.

 

“While many states requested a bulk drug park, only three states got it. Andhra Pradesh is one of them. Because of this we got ₹40,000 crore investment and this will create as many as 35,000 jobs directly and indirectly,” he informed.

 

The minister, giving an insight into the efforts put forth by the state government, said, “The Chief Minister has directed officials to figure out efficient tehcniques to help MSMEs in the state prosper across the globe. Consering the state’s capability, CM Jagan directed officials to learn best practices being implemented in agriculture sector from Israel, Electronics sector from Taiwan and South Korea and MSME techniques from Europe and United Kingdom.”

 

Special Chief Secretary R Karikal Valaven, Maritime Board CEO SE Shanmohan, APMSME Chairman Vanka Ravindranath, AP Maritime Board Chairman Kayala Venkata Reddy, APTPC Chairman K Ravichandra Reddy, Industries Advisor L Sridhar, APPCICCPI Chairman, Directors and others were present at the launch of the logo.
