_CM Jagan tears into TDP & its extended arms for malicious campaign against govt on pensions; says, monthly pension now reaches more than 62 lakh pensioners as compared to 39 lakh under TDP_
In an effort to provide benefits of welfare schemes to each and every beneficiary in the state, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday disbursed ₹590.91 crores and credited the respective amount directly into the bank accounts of as many as 2,95,065 beneficiaries who were not covered under various schemes due to some eligibility errors.
Addressing the event, Chief Minister highlighted that through this initiative, his government has given another opportunity to those who are eligible but are unable to avail of the benefits of these schemes.
Highlighting that Andhra Pradesh is the only state where benefits of the government’s schemes are reaching all beneficiaries in 100% saturation without any bias of caste, creed, religion, or party affiliation, *CM emphasized, ‘Like never before in the history of the nation, we are making deposits to the beneficiaries’ accounts under various social schemes.’*
With this, the total amount disbursed under various schemes was raised to ₹6,684.84 crore
and the total number of beneficiaries was raised to 44, 27,641.

*CM Jagan lambasts TDP for malicious propaganda, busts fake claims on pensions*
CM Jagan also seized the opportunity to express his disappointment towards the negative propaganda being spread by the opposition and its extended mouthpiece- yellow media. Adding further, CM opined that the opposition is working only with the agenda to defame his government and spread false news regarding pensions.
*He said that they were disseminating false information on the deletion of pension recipients while the audit was under process. Clearing the air surrounding the issue and nipping the falsehood in the bud, CM Jagan clearly stated that ‘the state government has not stopped any pension. The pensions were temporarily withheld for conducting the social audit. What’s wrong with this, CM asked?’*
*Strengthening his attack on TDP, CM said that TDP should be ashamed, under Chandrababu Naidu govt rates for every welfare scheme were less and they forced people to pay some percentage of the same Janmabhoomi committees. Comparing the stats of pensions from TDP’s regime, CM said, ‘the TDP administration only allocated a pitiful ₹400 crore for pensions, giving only 39 lakh people a monthly income of ₹1000. While the monthly pension has now increased to ₹2750 and there are now 62,70,000 pensioners.*
Besides, CM asked officials to conduct an audit of the pension schemes every six months. He further directed them to ensure that people wouldn’t fall for the deceptive propaganda.
